Yuck! Wise words from Mark Twain? He’s probably right, nothing worse could happen to you (or to the frog either, for that matter), but it’s still a difficult idea to um…swallow.


Of course, he doesn’t really mean you should literally eat a live frog, more that if you’re talking about things that might be on your to-do list, you should do the most difficult one first, then all the rest will seem like a walk in the park.


So, are you struggling with a difficult rudiment or exercise? Feeling the pressure to knuckle down to some plain old practice? Whatever it is you’re doing (and we, of course, hope that your drums bring you nothing but joy!), sometimes the best way is to just sit down at that kit and face what you need to get done - the rest of the day will be a breeze!
