Hello Drummers 🥁


Did you know it’s Bjorn Ulvaeus’ birthday today? Seeing this online this morning got us talking about bands who have influenced us… It’s one of Phill’s greatest regrets that he wasn’t there at Eurovision in 1974 when ABBA won with ‘Waterloo’, especially as it was only up the road in Brighton! Let’s ignore the fact that Phill would’ve only been 9 at the time, and unlikely to have been allowed to travel on his own on the bus.


So who has been your greatest musical influence, and why? Who makes you want to get behind that drum kit (or any other instrument in fact!) and play your heart out? If you ask Phill and he’s feeling cool, he’ll probably tell you it’s the Foo Fighters or Rush, but really I think it just might be ABBA… I’m glad to say he’s not got a sparkly unitard in tribute though!
